Parish Ministries

"There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone." 1 Corinthians 12

A very useful, contemporary, exhortation on parish life and the importance of our communal responsibility for the Gospel is an Address by Pope Benedict XVI, to a pastoral convention on May 2009, Pastoral Co-Responsibility.

At Epiphany Parish we are called to "co-responsibility" in the cause of Christ. Each one of us has a part to play. All that we do, in quiet ways or more public, can be described as co-responsibility for the ministry of the Church. Take a moment and see if there is a service opportunity that attracts your heart, or if there is one that your heart is calling the parish to discern and perhaps initiate.

Vitality and a constant spirit of renewal ought to characterize our stewardship and approach to service. That open spirit is required most of all because the ministry of the Church faces new challenges in our seemingly constantly changing world.

Through our four ministry areas we hope and pledge to build up Epiphany Parish and proclaim Christ, in word and deed. "Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." (Colossians 3:17)
